If you are ready to take charge of your finances and get on the road to financial peace, then don’t miss this opportunity to enroll in our second 2011 Financial Peace University series. Nearly 90 people attend our current class. Our next 13 week series begins May 3 and continues each Tuesday night for 13 weeks. Orientation Class is scheduled for Saturday, April 9.  Childcare is provided free of charge. The FPU kit and lifetime membership cost $100 per couple (or, single person).Partial scholarships are available for single parents raising children.

Ambassadors Meeting – March 1

Don’t Miss Our Next Ambassador’s Meeting — Tuesday, March 1 at 6:00PM.

Our last meeting was wonderful, especially because it had been a few months since we were together.

For our March 1st meeting, we will provide the meat, bread and drinks. If you can, please bring a side dish or desert to share. If you can’t bring something, then please just come out anyway.

 

Join Our Nursing Home Ministry & Change a Life

You can still join our ministry to nursing home residents and shut-ins and change lives one visit at a time.

All that is needed is a heart full of compassion and a willingness to be an encouragement to others. Paul said that we should, “Share with God’s people who are in need” (Rom. 12:13). What better way to do that then to share yourself, your touch and a kind word with those who are shut-in or in nursing home care?

We will be meeting this Saturday morning (February 6) from 9AM – 10AM in the Care Ministry Center next to the Community Room. If you have an interest, just show up. We will be outlining how this ministry will work and where we go from here.

We have 10 to 12 of our church family and friends in local nursing homes at any given time.  You could join our visitation team and bring joy to their lives with just one visit! We are searching for a few good folks with tender hearts and a sincere love for others who could visit local nursing homes once per month.

Ambassadors Club Canceled for January

Bob Pyle will not be back in town in time to plan the January Ambassadors Club Dinner for January.

We will cancel our January meeting and get busy planning the rest of 2011.

Food Boxes Available For Folks Over 60

New Life Church distributes Food Boxes once per month to folks who are 60 or older who meet certain income requirements. When there is one in the family, income cannot exceed $1174 per month; when there are two in the family, income cannot exceed $1559 per month.Larger households can also qualify.
