Hey guys. We have some incredible opportunities for your child this summer. Click the link below to preview and print off the calendar. You will also notice another link to Student Life Ministries. This summer, we are doing a mission trip with our students to Cedarville, Ohio. Check out the “Student Life Mission Camp 2011” video. Just simple copy and paste the link into the web box. I encourage you to consider letting your child going on this mission trip. The trip is expensive, but we have fundraising activities for our students to raise support. We are parent-friendly, so parents may go along with us. PLEASE contact me if you are interested in sending your child to this trip so we can get you on board with fundraising options. Thanks again for your prayers and support.

o Most people can go 30 hours without food. If you have any concerns, check with your Doctor.
- What if my child cannot fast because of medical reasons?
o The idea behind fasting is to worship and focus on God. When you fast, you give up something that you focus on or spend a lot time on. I suggest giving up your phone, watching t.v, listening to music, or facebook.

It is a great time to be apart of Middle School Ministry! Heres whats happening!
This past weekend, Sunday morning, our students and leaders participated in a service project. We put together Harvest Day bags for our missions/outreach ministry here at OCC. Students and leaders put together 394 bags in 20 minutes! Thank you to all who helped and contributed.
Over the last 3 months, we have asked students and leaders to bring in old clothes or unworn clothes to the Clothing Closet here at OCC. Students and leaders have filled up a huge corner in the Middle School Room. We took the bags upon bags of clothes to the Clothing Closet this past week and lets just say the ladies will be busy going through clothes for a while! It took 10 trips back-n-forth with a cart to haul all the bags. Thank you for serving Christ!
I’m excited to say we have our new small group curriculum in! Through prayer, strategy, and God’s leading, we have purchased Student Life curriculum for our Sunday Morning Small Groups. Student Life offers top of the line material for all ages. The lessons have a huge emphasis on God’s Word, digging deep and applying it to everyday life. Also, the lessons have fun and relevant activities to engage a different variety of students. We will start lesson numbero uno Sunday, October 31st.
Not only does Student Life curriculum offer small group material for students, but they offer family devotions. The devotions cover what students have learned the previous weekend. Be on the lookout for links to download family devotions. To check out more information on student life, copy and paste http://www.studentlife.com/biblestudy/. The specific study is “Christ”. I encourage everyone student to come Sunday Morning Small Groups!
