High School Ministry Update

Fusion Ministry News

Hey people – we want to let you know about upcoming changes in Fusion High School Ministry.  Starting this Sunday, November 14 we’re moving our main worship service back to Sunday mornings at 9:30.  We’ll meet in the Fusion room from 9:30-10:45.  Each week our service is filled with rockin’ student-led worship & Biblical teaching on topics that matter to teens.  You never know what else we might throw in –  funny videos, group discussion or crazy games.  Come check it out this week and see what you’ve been missing!

Also, we will no longer have Fusion Friday Nights each week.  Instead, we’re moving to a once a month Friday night special activity – scavenger hunts, dodgeball nights, lock-ins, movie marathons, you name it and we just might try it!  Be watching for details with a plan each month.  We’ll announce it in our Fusion service and on Facebook.

Starting August 29th 2010

Fusion Friday night (7-10 pm free) = We hang out in the high school rooms and take over the rec center and play games. This is a time of just being with each other, no major planned events just what ever happens that night. From a killer pong, to volleyball bring a friend and chill out with great people.

Student Impact (Sunday 9:30, 11:00 services) = A simple way to be the hands and feet of Jesus here at OCC. Our aim is to have the high school students plugged into the church though serving the church in many different areas. From nursery to camera operators we have a place for your student to be a part of serving others at church. Please come by the High School room for details on signing up and being a part of this ministry opportunity.

Fusion (Sunday nights 5:00-6:30 in the High School rooms) = Our big group teaching time with student lead worship that is loud and crazy. Our aim is to praise Jesus in this relevant teaching time though scripture, media, group activities. Bring a friend and have slice with your peers.

Small Group (group times and location different for every group) = Growing closer together in a relationship with Christ by meeting regularly for camaraderie, worship, bible study, and prayer. Each group is created for living this difficult life together as a small family. Are freshmen boy and girls meet in the high school rooms sunday morning at the 9:30 service and all others meet when it is best for their group.
